After over 25 years as a leading fertility benefits provider, WIN expanded its mission beyond fertility, supporting families through every stage of life; including pre-conception and fertility, maternity (pre- and postpartum), parenting, menopause and andropause, and caregiving journeys. As Head of Content and Creative Director, I led the complete overhaul—including redesign and UX strategy—of the legacy app, which had been in place for over a decade. This ambitious project involved managing a team of freelance writers and a designer and coordinating with our offshore development team to deliver a comprehensive solution that addressed the evolving needs of WIN's diverse membership.
In six months, we launched the first version of the new WINFamily app, introducing a suite of innovative features:
Enhanced Provider Search:
Members can find in-network providers and WIN-preferred providers, with filters for diversity and proximity.
Personalized Health Tracking: Tailored trackers for ovulation, menopause, andropause, pregnancy, and more, with ability to export data, to share with healthcare providers.
Weekly Maternity Tracker: A comprehensive guide to pregnancy,
featuring weekly insights into fetal growth, maternal changes, nutritional advice, expert tips, and recipes inspired by the baby's size each week.
WINRewards Program: A gamified incentive program that rewards members for completing daily and weekly challenges.
Expanded Resource Library: A vast collection of articles, videos, and downloadable PDFs covering topics from preconception and fertility treatments to parenting and healthy aging.
Nurse Care Advocate Consultations: Easy scheduling of virtual consultations with expert WIN Nurse Care Advocates.
Rx Reminders and Reimbursement: Simplified tools to manage prescriptions and track reimbursement claims.

By prioritizing user experience and leveraging data-driven insights, we successfully transformed the WINFamily app into a powerful platform that empowers individuals and families to take control of their health and well-being.
